General Order No. 143 created Army regiments known as the United States Colored Troops which played a vital role in the Civil War and laid even more vital groundwork for Civil Rights. Offered are (8) 1860s Civil War USCT payment voucher/muster-out roll documents signed by (4) white officers and (4) African-American enlisted men. Ranging in sizes of 8x10 to 10-1/2 x 40 these historically significant vouchers show a high state of preservation belying their 150 year age. Militarily proficient signatures average (8-9) potency with (1) lesser. More on our website.

USCT regiments were commanded by white officers, rank for African-American soldiers was limited. All documents are in excellent condition with deference to original compacting folds. Signatures average (8-9) unless noted. The list of included soldiers is as follows:
