Having launched a single-season record 61 home runs during the regular campaign in 1961, Roger Maris added a 62nd round-tripper six days later to power the Yankees to a 3-2 triumph in Game 3 of the 1961 World Series. This display documents that ninth-inning Fall Classic blast! Framed to 15-5/16 x 17-5/16” under gray matting, the display is headlined by an original Type III wire photograph capturing Maris as he trots back to the Yankee dugout immediately following his Crosley Field circuit clout. The photo has been authenticated by PSA/DNA and features editorial markings and a typewritten caption. Accenting the display are a Crosley Field “Sun Deck” ticket stub from the game (apparent VG-EX condition with an uneven admission tear) and a 1962 Topps Baseball #234 WS card (SGC 86).
