World Series Game 1 Dodger Stadium Ticket Stub: the lone specimen at its tier with none graded higher; issued for opener of series in which the Oakland A’s joined the New York Yankees as the only teams to win at least three consecutive World Series titles. Reggie Jackson homered to help power the visitors to a 3-2 triumph that saw Catfish Hunter earn the second and final save of his Major League career.

World Series Game 1 Riverfront Stadium Ticket Stub: one of two at its tier with two graded higher; issued for Game 1 of what proved a one-sided series. Swept as they ended a (then) franchise-long 11-year postseason drought, the Yankees were outscored by an aggregate 22-8 count and were defeated in the opener, 5-1 as Joe Morgan homered for the Reds.

World Series Game 1 Yankee Stadium Ticket Stub: one of three at its tier with six graded higher; issued for Game 1 of a series defined by Reggie Jackson’s three-home run performance. While “Mr. October” went 1-for-2 in this one, it was veteran Paul Blair that provided the heroics with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 12th.

World Series Game 1 Dodger Stadium Ticket Stub: one of two at its tier with two graded higher; issued for Game 1 that saw Reggie Jackson go deep for the visitors. Jackson’s long ball went for naught, however, as the Dodgers battered four Yankee pitchers for 11 runs on 15 hits, including a pair of round-trippers from Davey Lopes.

World Series Game 1 Veteran’s Stadium Ticket Stub: one of four at its tier with only one graded higher; issued for the opener of the Royals’ first-ever Fall Classic and the Phillies’ first appearance since 1915. The hosts endured three home runs that night (including two off the bat of Willie Aikens) and prevailed, 7-6.

World Series Game 1 Yankee Stadium Ticket Stub: the lone specimen at its tier with none graded higher; issued on October 20 at the latest series opener to date (due to the midseason players strike and resultant division playoffs) in which the Yanks staked starter Ron Guidry to a 5-0 lead and held on for a 5-3 triumph.

World Series Game 1 Memorial Stadium Ticket Stub: one of two examples at its tier with none graded higher; issued on 33rd Street for a contest in which solo home runs accounted for all the scoring.

World Series Game 1 Royals Stadium Ticket Stub: the lone graded example; issued for Game 1 of the “Show Me State” series in which the Redbirds prevailed, 3-1, despite being out-hit by the hosts.
