Description

Raised in West Virginia, where he began racing go-karts at the tender age of seven, Denny Hamlin clung to his passion and hit the NASCAR circuit with a bang in 2006. En route to Nextel Cup Series Rookie of the Year plaudits, Hamlin wore this racing suit as his Chevy #11 entry torched the Phoenix International Raceway oval in the 2006 Subway 500. The black body suit features purple, red and white accents with flame-resistant aramid fibers providing protection from both the potential of fire and the actual 94-degree temperature that day. Patches hawking Hamlin’s sponsors are sewn throughout, with “FedEx” displayed most prominently. Within the zipper/Velcro path, cotton lining is home to a “Simpson” label with a handwritten notation of “TEST.” The item shows appropriate signed of single-event wear.
