Adhering to the motto “truth, justice and the American way”, the Superman character soared in popularity with the introduction of the 1950s TV show “The Adventures of Superman”. Power up your bidding muscles for this super lot of (5) 1950s Superman TV show film strips/negatives. All items are in collectible and usable condition as evidenced by accompanying photo prints produced from the offered source materials. Incredible collector-strength is derived from the lot highlight ”I Love Lucy” five-frame black & white film strip from the Lucy series crossover episode in which actor George Reeves appeared in character as Superman with Lucille Ball. This strip will yield five similar photos each with a slightly different expression on Reeves face. Also present are: Superman on the Moon color strip with nine full frame images and two partials (all the same pose) of TV series actor George Reeves; Lois Lane color strip of six frames of TV series actress Noel Neill at her desk (all the same pose); speeding train color strip of twenty-five frames most likely from the TV series opening credits (images vary, left edge is cut irregularly and shows on photo prints as slight discoloration/absence of color along the left border); Superman promo color single image negative which announces TV broadcast times as “Mon.-Fri. 2:30PM, Sun. 4:30PM”, most likely from later date syndication airing. Four of the included photo are two-image 4-1/2 x 6” prints, the promo print measures 10x8.
