Bay Area baseball is the fare in this lot of (3) San Francisco Giants items. Used and/or worn during the club’s tenure at Candlestick Park, the items include:
1977-1982 Equipment Bag: measuring approximately 28”-long, the black and orange canvas zippered accessory features “Giants” on each end with handwritten notations of “15” suggesting use by former slugger Mike Ivie. A “cosby” label is sewn to the flap and a leather and plastic lined identification slot remains empty. Heavy use is evident.
1983-1993 Equipment Bag: measuring approximately 24”-long, the black canvas zippered accessory features team logos on the sides and “SF” logos on the ends. A “Starter” identification label (which remains blank) is sewn to the interior. Moderate use is evident.
1983-1993 Windbreaker: a black nylon pullover garment with hand-trimmed sleeves, a team logo embroidered to the left breast and black stretch ribbed knit panels lining the collar and waistline. Within the zippered collar, a “Starter” size “X-Large” label has a vintage black-marker notation of “Miller,” suggesting spring training wear by a non-roster invitee, as no player named “Miller” played for the parent club during this jacket’s period of use. Moderate wear.
