Description

Baseball’s first-ever “agent,” scribe and publicist Christy Walsh got his start by Stalking Babe Ruth at his plush Ansonia Hotel residence, landing a ghost-writing contract with the Bambino after posing as the delivery boy of Ruth’s bootleg beer. Proving his staying power more than three decades later, Walsh issued his “All America” sports-themed calendar for which this 1955 original artwork was composed. Framed to 21-5/8 x 17-5/8”, a four-image collage depicts athletes from the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, Finland, complete with an empty box to facilitate text entry. This historic rendition presents beautifully and comes with a printed calendar version.
